(code: wmGH14f)During the 1950—1952 production cycle a crown dropped off the dandy roll used to apply the watermark. It was replaced by a wrong crown (Saint Edward’s crown).
It is not clear, however, if the error was intentional, perhaps necessitated by the unavailability of the correct crown.
